We’re delighted to introduce our version of the classic Cossack jacket, a style that emerged in the 1920s, based on a military style with a stand collar, traditionally made from horsehide or leather and favoured by aviators and motorcyclists.
The Cossack gradually evolved to refer solely to short, shawl collar, button front jackets with side adjustors, to which we’ve added two inside pockets, fitted within the silhoutte of the outer pockets so as not to ruin the cut.
While originally cropped to accommodate a high waisted trousers, we’ve lengthened ours to sit on the waist, and of course it’s made in our signature cotton drill, giving it a more modern, wearable style with the durable construction of traditional workwear.
100% cotton, garment washed for a softer effect and to avoid shrinkage. Our buttons are made from Corozo, a natural nut shell.
